Have Run, Will Travel.

Just in the past few months we've been to some beautiful and unlikely places.

The park that I loved as a child-

to the NJ Shore-

and again...

Into the Lincoln Tunnel (and back)-

Over the George Washington Bridge-

Through the trails of Pennypack Park in Philadelphia Pa

Who says that being a runner gets you nowhere?    I may never have the luxury of traveling the world, but today, I get to see so many beautiful places that are within walking and driving distance from my home because we love to run.

Where are you going?  Where have you been?  What have you seen that you might have missed if not for YOUR love of the run?

  1. The Plains of Abraham in Quebec is by far my favorite place to run. Running didn't take me to Quebec, but I planned a trip for the family where I knew parks were abundant. My husband and I also ran a half marathon AGES ago in San Fransisco, which was awesome, and soon enough I will run my first FULL marathon in Philly! YAY!

  2. I ran in Milwaukee, WI in an 8k. I ran in Paris, but saw nothing of interest. Ran through Hyde Park in London (AWESOME!). We went to Montreal last summer and ran across the Cartier Bridge. I've run on the treadmill in Vegas, but I doubt that counts. And while in Negril, Jamaica I ran on the trail at the resort. :-) It's becoming fun to say all the places I run outside the country or within the US that are fun.

  3. I've actually traveled to Philly and Baltimore (both of which we go to pretty often, though) for races, as well as Virginia Beach for my first marathon, but I try to run on vacations and business trips so in addition to what Chris said, I've hit up Minneapolis and random places in Illinois I was for work, and also got in some mileage on our last Vegas trip.

  4. I ran through a vineyard in the Napa Valley, CA at 3am doing a Ragnar Relay. I went to Cape Cod running a Ragnar too. I love going places to run!
